HollywoodJesus.com: Consider the Stars, Review of “The Principle”
At some point in a person’s life, there’s a moment of introspection when a look at the sky on a clear evening leads to questions such as: “Why am I here? What is my purpose on this planet? Is there anything else out there? Where did we come from? Are we special enough to warrant favor from something (or Someone) greater than us?”
For centuries, there has been a major battle that has been waged over Cosmology, or the study of the origins of the universe. Even from biblical times, the discussion has been active—just take a look at Genesis 15:5-6 and God’s talk with Abram (later Abraham) about attempting to count the stars in the sky and relating it to his future descendants. Yet it’s very easy to look at that sky and think that we’re basically insignificant in the whole scheme of things. At the same time, there’s nothing like the Earth and its ability to propogate life.
